ZION FREE LUTHERAN CHURCH

Grace Free Lutheran Church and Zion Free Lutheran Church share pastors and conduct activities together. Sunday services at Zion begin at 9:00 am with a time of fellowship following at 10:00 am.

 

The women of Zion are active in Bible studies and service projects. Adult Bible study is held jointly with Grace Free on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. The youth also participate in activities with the students from Grace Free.

A HISTORY OF ZION

Zion Free Lutheran Church was organized in July of 1888 and was named "Zion Skandinaviske Evgangeliske Lutheran Minighed" which was later changed to "Zion Norwegian Lutheran Free Church" and then "Zion Free Lutheran Church"(when it became a part of the AFLC).

 

The church was built in 1904. Several remodeling projects have added to the church since then.
